Rebecca Ginsberg, Ph.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her Ph.D. from the American University and completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia's Counseling and Psychological Services. Dr. Ginsberg worked as a staff psychologist at the University of Virginia's Counseling Center following the completion of her post-doctoral fellowship.
Dr. Ginsberg has received training in Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. She uses an integrative treatment approach, tailoring therapy to individual needs and preferences, all within a supporting and accepting atmosphere. Dr. Ginsberg has developed a specialized expertise in the treatment of individuals with eating issues and body image concerns, as well as treating late adolescents and young adults. She has published articles in professional journals and taught seminars on the topic of eating disorders and body image concern.
Other areas of interest include the treatment of individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, identity issues, women's issues and family and relationship concerns.
