Claire de Andrade, PsyD, has over 20 years of experience as a licensed psychologist. She holds master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. She interned at the San Francisco Jung Institute and the UCSF Infant Parent Program. She is also the mother of twins.
She specializes in working with women who struggle with the emotional issues and experiences related to post-partum, parenting, menopause, empty nesting, careers beginning or ending, loss, or questions like “Who am I?” “What is my purpose?” or “Why am I so critical of myself?”
Claire offers warm, thoughtful, and collaborative psychotherapy to individuals who desire change, personal fulfillment, relationship satisfaction and overall well-being. While understanding that the historical basis of psychological issues plays a big part in freeing oneself from entrenched patterns, she encourages the work together to be focused on the present. She uses mindfulness practices, somatic awareness, inquiry and insight, psychological education and the latest in neuroscience discoveries to augment the sessions. She has also been a meditation practitioner for over 30 and brings both interpersonal and trans-personal skills to her work, with a goal to move through suffering to a greater sense of fulfillment and vitality.
Claire is committed to openness and inclusiveness and supports diversity. For more information about her work: www.drclairedeandrade.com
