Kirsten E. Franke, LCSW

Kirsten E. Franke, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), received her Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. Ms. Franke has 35 years experience working with individuals in their recovery from addiction, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma. She incorporates a variety of theoretical modalities including psychodynamic therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems, all from a strengths-based perspective. As the former Clinical Services Director at The Women's Initiative in Charlottesville, VA, she served women in our community presenting with relationship, parenting, trauma, and other stress-related issues, in addition to providing clinical supervision for licensure.

She is also a certified yoga teacher and incorporates mindfulness based practices into her therapeutic work which serve as a foundation for meaningful and transformative healing experiences. Ms. Franke specializes in assisting adolescents/young adults, adults, and couples on their path to wellness and wholeness.
